Hongkong, 9th. March, 1911.
Sir,
I have the honour to inform you
that Messrs. Dennys and Bowley have applied on behalf of the
lessees of Kowloon Inland Lots 640 and 642 for some addition-
-al area of Crown Land adjoining these lots, and that, in
order to enable the matter to be dealt with, it has been
necessary to consider the future laying out of the locality
in question.
2.
The Director of Public Works has now
submitted a plan, copy of which I enclose, based upon the
scheme which he has prepared for laying out the locality,
and showing in red the suggested new lot. The land is requir-
-ed for a tannery and it was therefore necessary, in view of
the Offensive Trade Regulations (printed on page 476 of the
Government Regulations), to consult the Sanitary Board, who
unanimously resolved at a meeting of the Board held on the
17th. January that the application should be granted. You
